Meet Allison

Hi! I’m Allison, a private practice nutritionist in New Jersey. I specialize in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders, intuitive eating, and family nutrition. I also counsel individuals seeking guidance for general wellness, cardiovascular health, vegetarian nutrition, and meal planning. I have been very successful in establishing an excellent rapport with clients of all ages and have been able to help them reach their health and wellness goals.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, I completed my training to obtain a license as a Registered Dietitian at New York Presbyterian – New York Weill Cornell Center. I began my career in nutrition as a part-time outpatient nutritionist at The Medical Center at Princeton in New Jersey and I started my private practice, Eat and Be Well. After relocating to New York, I worked as the cardiac unit dietitian at Beth Israel Medical Center. Two years later, I accepted a position as the exclusive nutritionist at The New York University Health Center. During my tenure as the exclusive nutritionist at NYU, I completed a Masters Degree in Nutrition and became a nutrition department adjunct professor.

There is so much nutrition misinformation in the media. My practice has allowed me the opportunity to share my knowledge with my clients, helping them to sort out the science from diet-culture. When I’m not working, I love experimenting with new recipes, walking, being in nature, spending time with my husband and two children, and eating my favorite food — ice cream!
